Amazing place. The stay program is very well organized. We went as a family and they assigned a guide for us. The guide was knowledgeable, patient and passionate about their jobs. Great hospitality from the beginning till the end. Food was simple with limited variety - but freshly cooked and healthy.

Dont expect five star facilities here. If you are looking for a well maintained calm and quiet place to enjoy your vacation this is the right one. Package includes stay, dinner, breakfast, lunch, boating, waterfalls visit, trekking, early morning safari in a mini bus. Dont come here to make noise and parties. Only BSNL has network here, that too for calling only. Internet is very slow.

It was great experience but we didn't found any hotel rooms there because there are no any single hotels here.it is just for a small visit to explore the view and mountains only. But you will definitely love to be here.

KFDC Gavi Hotel is situated very close to the Gavi Dam. At present only three rooms are available. Renovations for more rooms progressing. Reservation is needed and entry in to the Gavi forest is controlled with a one way system and by strict timing. The restaurant here is somewhat a garden restaurant by the Gavi Dam reservoir. A very beatiful location. Where you can go boating and you may enjoy a campfire. Food is delicious and the approach of staff is cordial. You can have a peaceful ride through the forest where you may happen to confront an elephant or a tiger. Trucking is another attraction for the tourists. The beauty of the green Sahya is really breath taking.

We had been there in the beginning of July 2022. The trekking, boating and Safari were quite interesting. The water falls inside the forest was marvellous. Travel to Gavi through dense forest is amazing. Expect only minimum comfort in KFDC accommodation as it is in the middle of forest. They can provide better facilities and attract more tourists. Guides are good and experienced. Breakfast was good, for lunch we got vegetarian food and the Dinner was good but with minimum quantity. Varieties of food items should be improved.

If you are natural lover and wish to spend time with nature without phone signal and traffic sounds, better to try this atleast one time in life. Also, good for couples in winter season. Best if you travel in your car or jeep from kumily

Feel the different experience in staying in the forest. You get a special and variety of support in the forest with Kerala Forest Development Corporation. They arranged boating, trekking, swimming and site seeing facilities.
